Wedding planning seemed the easiest thing to do especially when you have family members to assist you. But those were the days where everyone volunteered and made your Big Day the most important agenda of the time.
Living in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, also known for its chaos doesn’t eliminate the pressure of planning a task. However, with each edition, we are continuously growing in ideas in order to help you with your wedding preparations from all angles.
It has come to our realization, that in all editions, our target has been on ideas for your weddings, real wedding stories to update you on people’s love tale as well as the best wedding vendors across Malaysia. However, after posting a question on Facebook the other day, I realized there should be diversity. I posted a simple question, “Which year do you think most married couples go through a period of hiccups?” I was surprised with the range of responses. Some said the first year, some said the fifth and some pointed out the twentieth year. On that note, we started a new segment for our loyal readers called “Happily Ever After”. This segment will feature the stories of various married couples who will share their tale and disclose some pointers on how they’ve stayed married throughout the years. I believe we all can learn a thing or two from these couples.
Photographers play an important role in any event as they are there to capture significant moments that you will continue to cherish and remember. We decided to feature “The Shot” that will make you remember the defining moments of your celebration. We received a handful from our readers who really took the initiative to go through their wedding pictures and responded to us.
We also have an interesting feature for our brown brides. There were growing concerns over the appropriate sari and make-up colour a dark skinned bride should wear. Some brides insist on wearing red thinking it would complement their skin tone. As much as it is an auspicious colour for Indian weddings, can you take the colour? What are your alternative choices?
Get creative! Your cake does not have to follow the colour and theme of your wedding decorations. Steal some insightful ideas from wrapping papers to favour boxes.
We have another survey this time around with more depth on “What type of wedding celebration are you really planning? Yes, we will be giving away more honeymoon packages to you lovely couples out there. Let’s put it this way. We understand the financial strain a wedding can accompany, so fill up the survey forms and be surprised! You might be our lucky winner.
The segment on real wedding stories has been a hit. Please do not fret if you have not heard from us. We have an exhaustive list of people who want to be featured and unfortunately cannot accommodate all. We hope with the new segments created, we would be able to fit in more of your stories.
The honeymoon stories have been helpful to our readers as they get different views and opinions from people who have been all over the world. No one can give you a more honest opinion other than other honeymooners so send in your recommendations of venues you have been to and let us know if it is the go to place for a honeymoon.
We also value your feedback, so send us your suggestions. Tell us what you’d like to read and we will do our best to accommodate to your reading pleasure.
Lastly, plan well, establish a good team of wedding vendors and stay cool.
