Recognized as Bungsar decades ago, now called as Bangsar or Bangsar Baru, is a well-heeled uptown on the fringes of Kuala Lumpur lying about 4 kilometers south-west of the city centre.

During the 1950s, several companies housed their staff and families in Bangsar due to its convenient location. The Malayan Railway (now Keretapi Tanah Melayu) utilized the Off Jalan Bangsar area because the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and depot is less than three kilometers away in Brickfields…
