The Indian Wedding Expo 2009 was officiated by Datuk M. Saravanan and Datin Kavita Saravanan by lighting up the oil lamp or better known as 'kuttuvilakku' amongst Indians. In addition, Datuk M. Saravanan officiated the opening ceremony for the Big Rajah to mark their 10th anniversary.

Furthermore, visitors were given the bliss of being entertained by orhestra performances, lucky draws with value added prizes and talks by various people including the astrologers.
